Smite matchmaking just went 1 step too far.

Why, why oh why, WHY would you match me and my friend with 3 LOW LEVELED PLAYERS in Assault (between lvl's 5-11) and match us against a FULL LEVEL 30 PARTY.

I'd much rather wait 10 minutes on queue than deal with this crap, that is just unacceptable and gives 0 incentive to play.

If you go into co-op, you don't have to worry about whom you're matched up against.
    Just pointing out the facts

The OP didn't say he went into Co-Op matches. He just made a psrty with his friend and got all those low level players, against the enemy team being 30 all. Hard to understand?

I assume you mean this match: http://smite.guru/censor/match/8325

Well that is Smite's op matchmaking for you.
I simply cannot understand the algorithms they use for their matchmaking.
Once in a while matches are more than one-sided.
How about Assault League or MOTD League?

Exactly that match. I honestly don't understand anything about this matchmaking after this one match.

Level 30 doesn't always indicate skill, I'm level 30 and I still feel like I'm always either matched up against new players or players who actually ward, gank and synergize with their god picks.

It's a fine line though, makes me wonder why everything seems like a guaranteed win or loss.

This happens cause smite is not so popular game. Not much players plays it, and machmaking system takes every player that can be found in queue.

A lesson in economics for you chums!

    Hi rez is a company.
    Companies want to make money.
In order for money to made a service has to be provided, which is skins, boosters avatars etc.
People need to play the game to want these things. The more people = the more money.
If match making were catered to actual skill level the wait times would indeed be 10-30 min per match.
That would make any new player and many casual players move on to other games almost immediately. Which would result in a net loss of almost 50% of hi rez's profitability.

For anyone still not following along allow me to dumb it down for you:

HI rez like money, people play = money, high quality game = less people play, hi rez sad, hi rez shut down game.

This cycle happens to EVERY online game. Once it gets popular, the game creators say FUCK YOU to the senior community comprised of mostly high skilled and or veteran players which got the game to where it is. The flood gates open and the company then caters to anyone with enough intelligence to be able to install the game. And for those lucky enough to get matched with them, the droolers whos parents installed it for them.

Its business, period. GOOD online games do not make money long term, as unfortunate as that is, that's the truth.

Albeit very low on the ladder of importance but this is one of the many many many reasons why money is a terrible exchange system and should be abolished. I would take barter and trade any fkin day.
