FPS cut in half since new patch.

I don't have DX11 enabled, so let's just get that out of the way. Prior to the patch, I was running at 40 FPS with certain settings on high, now I'm lucky to get 20 with settings knocked down to medium & low. In teamfights the game is unplayable, I drop down to 10ish or sometimes less. at the fountain, sometimes I get as low as 5 (especially if I try to open the shop window). Oh, I also experience random FPS spikes where it drops to 5 for no particular reason, just running around the map.

This has made the game honestly unplayable, I can't do anything when someone jumps me because my FPS dies, or if we try to fight the other team, I just hit buttons and hope I don't die. Any help?

    Do me a favor...
What are the specs of your pc (or laptop)?

    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3317U CPU @ 1.70GHz (4 CPUs), ~1.7GHz
    Memory: 4096MB RAM
    Available OS Memory: 3976MB RAM
    DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
    Display Memory: 1792 MB

Not that it should really matter, point is, pre-patch 40 fps, post-patch sub 20, I know I don't have a great laptop or anything, but the game ran pretty well and now it runs terribly. Waiting on someone from Hirez to at least acknowledge the issue is the patch?

Perhaps - I had issues at one point or another as well... And my machine is a moderate beast.
What happens when you turn everything off/put all settings at low? Give that a shot and tell me if you're FPS is still in the dirt. If it is, then there is another issue at hand...

I have the same problem right now. I was going hardcore Maximum on all of the settings along with 8x AA setting, but then after getting home from school today (just now), my game lags like crazy, and I get this weird screen flickering around my screen in-game.

Join the club, except for me wasn't just half.

I went from 120+ FPS to 0-15 FPS with this patch. Changing from maximum to low won't help. Only gain 2-3 FPS.

It's not a problem on my end.

To test I've played The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim 1080p with Ultra settings, FXAA enabled, HD textures and I constantly get 60 FPS. The same FPS as always, and I think it's capped to not allow players to go over 60 FPS.

    Specs:
    • Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit (6.3, Build 9600)
    • Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3610QM CPU @ 2.30GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.3GHz
    • Memory: 16384MB RAM
    • Available OS Memory: 16356MB RAM
    • Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M
    • Display Memory: 4042 MB
    • Dedicated Memory: 1994 MB
    • Shared Memory: 2047 MB
    • Native Mode: 1920 x 1080(p)

There's not much to be added to what I've said before. I've opened Smite about 1-2 hours ago and my FPS were back on 120+ FPS, but my computer constantly crashed. It's weird it only happens in Smite.

Tomorrow I'll make a clean OS install on my computer and see if it somehow fixes the issues.
