So with the exception of Cab

Can we all just accept that they obviously release new gods slightly overpowered to try and push people into spending money on them?

Its pretty obvious. Every moba (other than DOTA) does it. Its an easy way to increase sales.

So Serqet, Janus, Nox, and Awilix were all OP? Well then I guess release Nemesis and release Guan Yu have nothing on these gods.

If I recall correctly.. release Osiris was so up. Perhaps I started after a nerf, but I remember he was the new god, and I didnt see him at all for a long long time. and everyone complained he was bad.

Its pretty obvious. Every moba (other than DOTA) does it. Its an easy way to increase sales.
Obvious recent exceptions in this game:
Awlix and Hou Yi. Both of which people are saying are actually underpowered still.

    Recent exceptions in LoL:
Azir (so crappy on release that they buffed him numerous times without a single nerf and people still think he is sub par, still getting buffed)
Gnar (Odd case... He was terrible on release, then was buffed to be slightly overpowered, then was nerfed again)
Kalista (Oddly was released in a rather balanced state)
Reworked Sion (Has been barely changed at all since the rework)

Can't think of another MOBA that fits the pattern... Then again I only play like 3 of them.
Friend: Athena retreat, get out of there, what the heck are you doing!
Me: ATHENA DOESN'T KNOW THE MEANING OF RETREAT!
Friend: Well she better freaking learn it!
    *I die*
Me: OK, I retreated back to base... Just wait 20 seconds.

Lets see, the last 8 gods on release:
    Bellona: OP/Broken. Needs a nerf.
    Hou: meh at best.
Awilix: i think she was strong at launch, but a lot of ppl thought she was meh at best.
Ao Kuang: OP/Broken. Nerfed multiple times
Nox: 100% useless at launch. Buffed multiple times
Sylvanus: OP, but not broken. Nerfed multiple times
    Kukulkan: strong. Nerfed one time
    Cabra: meh at best.
    .
So thats 4 strong/OP gods VS 3 meh and one really bad god. Seems kinda balanced.

Well, let's see. In the time I've been playing, they've released about 15 gods, I think.

Geb? Eh. Not really. He's been tweaked a bit, but at release he wasn't really OP much at all.
    Nemesis? A bit, yes.
    Scylla? Nope.
    Ullr? Nope.
    Kumbhakarna? Nope.
    Osiris? Nope.
    Janus? Nope.
Rama? A tiny bit, one tweak made him fine.
    Serqet? Nope.
    Cabrakan? Nope.
    Sylvanus? Nope.
Nox? She was massively UNDERpowered at release. So much that she was a joke.
    Ao Kuang? A bit.
    Awilix? Nope.
    Hou Yi? Nope.
Bellona? I don't think so, but people are complaining.

So... of the 16 that I've seen released, I would say that three were "op" at release, and one was very much "up". Not exactly a great track record for calling it "they release all the new gods to be op to get people to buy them."

Besides, I have the god pack, I get every god for free.

Its funny how people forget that everyone cried about almost every god at release.

I dont think Bellona is op, but if you think Sylvanus was balanced at launch (or even now) I cant help but laugh.
