Why are there so many stupid players in 3v3?

    Just an experience.
I normally get every first win of the day pretty easily.
But it comes to Joust 3v3 and everything changes.

Of course Joust is not as easy to play as Siege or Arena, but really?
I always have at least 1 person on my team that feeds... mostly adc.
People also tend to not care about picks and instalock 2 asassins.
Normally they neither use chat nor Voicechat.
Sometimes they are under Level 20 (blame matchmaking) but they often are experienced players.

Why do they behave like this?
    Why is this?
I like the Joust map but I decided to not play this gamemode anymore as it always gets me frustrated.

You will always run into people that instalock on Joust or in any mode. There's no point trying to argue against that. But when it comes to Joust, I think that most people see it as a mode to fool around/try to get worshipers fast without worrying about stats. Of course, they most likely don't realize that it won't get them as many worshipers than Conquest or Siege. They're also most likely scared of being flamed in Conquest for feeding, so they generally think that Joust has a nicer player base and just go feed there. Another reason is that most people see joust as a good mode to go try out a new god in, which is confusing to me. I'm willing to bet that my reasons are on the top list of why most of the people in Joust are like what you described.

I got into a game with an auto-lock arachne and a Hel player while I went with my trusty Athena. Little did I know that the Arachne was 8 years old and the user with Hel was 2nd time he/she used her... We lost.... A lot...
    I don't have a cool signature.

Basically all of what you said were the reasons why a new player like me doesn't want to do Joust anymore.

You're also not really getting good with anything mechanically other than teamfights with 2 other people. But then if you wanted to do that, Assault would be better.

    Threes is cancer.

Not only does it have dumb mechanics that promote turtling, but it's filled with pubstompers and players who can't hack it in other modes.

Because most people in the queues are going to be the hypercasual or the pubstomper types, games are terribly imbalanced.

    Thx for the answers.

Seems like I have to quit Joust and wait until they bring in a new gamemode

Smart move since Joust is just terrible.

Wait until you end up teamed with a premade who then force a surrender on you when you clearly could have won the match.
Friend: Athena retreat, get out of there, what the heck are you doing!
Me: ATHENA DOESN'T KNOW THE MEANING OF RETREAT!
Friend: Well she better freaking learn it!
    *I die*
Me: OK, I retreated back to base... Just wait 20 seconds.

Ive had similar problems with siege.
Only going against premades and my team being rather bad.

Best thing you can do is join a clan or build up your friends list with decent people. And the queue with them.

Makes Smite so much more enjoyable.

You dont have to quit, just make a party of 3 people you like and rock on.
In the end it's your decision tho. Either quitting or continuing.

    Good luck
