Thread: 2014-10-21 Network Issues, Focused Mainly Around EU Players

    2014-10-21 Network Issues, Focused Mainly Around EU Players

    European users are currently experiencing major routing and network issues with the game, due to a major network outage event from one of our network providers.

    This is similar to the event that impacted EU players on October 20.


    Most North American users appear unaffected, although some may have related issues.


    At present, all European users are being placed on North American servers, but grouped with other EU players.


    Safemode is on, so no League matches and reduced deserter penalties.

    We are working on switching providers and other longer term mitigations as quickly as possible.

    Cant understand why i was able to play leagues 1hour ago and now i cant
    that pisses me off
    Why did u touch servers? Let them like they was 3 days ago

    And it's not all HiRez's fault, other companies are obviously being a problem as they're trying to switch providers. (You could have known this by actually reading what it said)

    This particular event actually has nothing to do with the servers themselves, and, for clarity, has nothing to do with the Match Manager changes that were tested yesterday.

    This is a pure network-related event that is much harder for us to directly control (although we are working on a variety of ways to mitigate as quickly as we can).

    Servers threw us all in a match that did not even load the card screen and now I am a desertor for no reason

    Really hoping this won't be a common problem.
    No way that i'm going to play on US servers, even if i only get matched against other EU players.
    It might be out of the hands of HiRez to fix the problem, but if a provider doesn't get it's shit straight you might as well switch over.
