there is a reddit repost bot. if you want them here instantly there ya go. not sure on the times when he reposts but they most likely fit in there. this may be another form of the "its in beta" excuse but they arent exactly officially live yet so things may be off by a couple days

The patch notes not being updated in time I'm assuming. This doesn't really solve the issue as much provide a very round-about, hindering-more-than-helping, not-really-a-solution, solution. The point is that the forums are supposed to catalogue these things and make them more accessible whereas what the reddit bot does is dump a load of unorganised (mis)information into a sub-forum that no one reads. Basically what I'm saying is I hate the reddit bot.

Be nice. Reddit Bot tries so hard. But yeah, I'm not a fan of the way it reposts. It's messy and painful to read. Patch notes should be posted in a clean manner.

I assume the major problem with HiRez from a community standpoint is the lack of a proper Community Manager.

I know /u/HiRezKelly is filling for /u/HiRezDuke (no longer working with HiRez), but she can't get all the job done.

I'm not sure if /u/Drybear will be taking the task of Community Management or not, but I'd like to see a proper management of the community.

As for Reddit/Forums war. I'll be using both. Actually, today I celebrated 1 year of Reddit.

I created my Reddit account because of /r/Smite. It was even created before the old forums shutdown announcement.

I haven't read anything except the title for this thread. Just wanna say what I think... I feel like this forum needs better moderation. I understand that people at hirez are very busy, but this forum is probably what new and potential players would wanna check to get info about the game, and tbh, some of the threads / posts here don't represent the community well... I just can't help but compare Anet's GW2 forum and this one because these are the only forums I check atm, and the difference is just too vast. Anet's is a lot cleaner as far as bad posts go and the interaction with the community is superior.

At least you admit you're lazy If you check the link to the reddit post I put in, one of the Mods from /r/Smite (CtrlAltDefeated) said that he thinks HiRez was intending on recruiting forums members to be moderators. I'm not sure when/if that will happen, but it sure would help.

I think having moderators from the community members is a good idea.. I hope they implement it soon.
