Vamana has 200 mana if he burns all his abilities sans ult at lvl 5 which is the highest notably in his cohort. He needs to burn mana so he can actually safely harass (you know being an ability based warrior). Every other god can moderate their mana but Vamana has VERY LITTLE lee room to work with

Blackthorn is weak because it's hybrid item that in the late game falls off super hard and gives no protections (in a meta where damage is so high. boV is nice BUT it should not be built in many cases even if the cdr is nice. Mage's blessing is not a good idea on him, makes him way to frail and it does not help clear speeds much anymore after the nerfs.

In mid mage's blessing isn't that good if truth be told in mid since it's bonuses and stats aren't that exceptional nowadays due to power of Thoth.
Protection's are NOT the surefire way to block damage. It's a start, but protections without health are useless since Smite currently suffers from power creep. Blackthorn is lowkey one of the best physical items in the game right now. It's cheap compared to a lot of other higher tier items, and the stats it gives are some of the best raw stats (massive health and mana spike with a great passive for ability based warriors who run through mana really easily). With the upcoming addition of the Elixir of Speed, you'll be able to squeeze that extra item in a build in conquest that can really pump your stats in a meaningful way.

Use 1 ability and then use auto's. Fight your solo laner! Especially when you have blue buff, you'll restore 2% of your missing mana with every successful ability hit against an enemy god. Get Warriors Blessing, that shit is actually OP early on for mana sustain, or if you're going more passive, get Guardian's Blessing and hit the wave then refuse to get last hits or let the tower get them so you get mana back that way.

Solo lane has absolutely zero mana issues right now with the way the meta and buff is currently. If you're having mana issues, you're managing your mana badly (OR GET MAGE'S BLESSING). Anything from that Breastplate tree gives MP5 and mana as well. Blackthorn hammer is lowkey one of the best items for warriors right now with a massive mana and health and power boost, PLUS an actual passive. Every single god (except one) in Smite will have mana issues and that is why every blessing for conquest has some sort of Mana sustain on its passive right now, whether that be MP5 (mages and hunters) or actual mana restoration (Warriors, Guardians, Assassins). And every single god (except that one god again) will OOM really quickly without a blessing. Even mages have this issue if they don't use Mage's blessing in mid. Nox has horrible mana issues right now as well. But it's easily managed with a blessing and not using more then one ability per wave for the first few levels.

When everyone is saying manage your mana better, they are 100% and irrevocably right.
I dont go for blue buff due to I dont play conquest.

You are correct.Being forced to use specific item due to mana is so crazy on him is no fun and lack imagination in builds.

Then lead off with that and don't complain about his mana costs since conquest and assault are the only two modes with potential mana issues that early on if you don't start correctly. Every other mode has quick EXP Spooling so you'll get a bigger base mana pool far more quickly and the fountain is more readily available (exception is Assault but then 4 or 5 meditations like is normal would be enough to get you through the early game). Though point still stands, he uses abilities to deal the majority of his damage, not his ult, so while Hastened Katana or Frostbound Hammer have their place in his build path, just get Breastplate of Valor or Genji's Guard, or if you're feeling saucy, Hydra's or Heartseeker or Transcendence (his scaling is actually quite high for a warrior). The mana and MP5 they provide are enough to help you early on plus they are cheap enough to get very quickly in 95% of situations.

Character has a built in weakness to balance out his powerful abilities, because you like him, rather than having him balanced, let's make it so the abilities still have the same power but you can spam them early game at little cost.
