    Surrendering system is garbage

    I have a serious problem with surrendering as a whole, because i like to play the game, win or lose, especially since it isn't rated. Casual play to learn gods and have fun. Games like these are especially frustrating, when the game just starts, and there is no apparent lead yet. It needs rework, or something to punish or deter people with the f6 happy finger. It makes the game not fun.

    On the other side, you have individuals such as myself who dont want to invest in what we see as a losing fight. I play Smite casually and want to have fun. Being stuck in a match with a team that has either no synergy, a DC, a feeder, or just toxic team mates so vile just isnt fun. I'm not one to turn away from a challenge, but I also dont want to have to lead the lemmings off a cliff. There are very real times where morale is low and people dont want to try anymore.

    ^This...this on so many levels

    the function, while flawed, has its place.

    there comes a point when you need to realize that the match you are in, is a lost cause.

    it could be for any of the reasons Squire listed, or something completely different;

    A lane (or multiple lanes) main towers are gone (within 20 min)

    A (or all) Phoenix[es] are gone (within 20 min)

    Everyone on your team is negative (usually a minimum 20 kill difference)

    There is a massive gold difference (15k)

    Enemies out level/item you (3-5 level minimum, and 2-3 items minimum)

    Which is why 4 man vote is perfect. If you are alone in wanting to keep going its just not enough.

    It's not true. 3-2 fail, 2-1 fail. Every game has 2-3 enemy spies or nolife trolls who are happy to feed, make the enemy rich and you're forced to play 1 items vs 6 enemy items. You die in the fontain within 0,5 sec and the enemy team don't want to finish the match, because they can farm achievements, penta-kills and simply get a lot of fun.

    BtardRez could simply replace DC or F6 players with other fresh players by giving them system invite like "you can take that character, his xxx gold, rebuy your own build and enjoy playing with others in the middle of match".

    that is overly complicated and as far as I know, no game has come close to this.

    sure some games allow you to join a game in progress but what you are talking about is well above and beyond that. i'm not even sure if it is remotely possible since Everything is tied to that person in that game

    Of couse, everything is impossible when your office contains 99% of designers/voicespammers/useless announcers and 1% of low-quality coders. Every useful tip in this forum was already implemented in 98-2005 mmo games by thousands of other game studios.

    That would mean the utter imbalance of so many games though.

    Items would get removed on a whim of fancy, playable characters would get removed because they are cancer/aids/etc, new modes would be added almost all the time.
