In-depth tutorials are kinda iffy for MOBAs because they are always changing around so much. One patch Devo Gloves and Crit might be the best option but then suddenly Trans and Asi are, or something else. And honestly, I never payed attention to any of those things when i started. x3

Also the occasional meta shifts where a video tutorial will be recommending Warriors in the solo lane when Guardians/Mages are the actual competition, or saying how god X will build, but its completely off to how the god builds in current/past/future patches (like recommending Doom Orb on like 15 mages despite the item being completely phased out by Talon Trinket/Soul Reliquary.)

This is the one of the reasons why explaining WHY builds are used is far, far better than just telling people what to build.

    Saying something like:

Hunters want to build power and attack speed, with lifesteal also being very useful because they're focused around basic attacking is specific enough to actually let you know somewhat reasonably how to build but it isn't telling you "Buy Devo's + Exe + Crit" which is comp/game/meta specific.

Or something like "In the solo lane, you often want a god that can build tanky to survive boxing with the enemy god in lane and also resist ganks from the jungler. You then want to build defensive items to protect against the enemy in the lane and/or the enemy jungler before you round out your defences and start rotating to teamfights" as opposed to "Pick Guardian/Mage/Warrior/Assassin and build X, Y, Z"

Essentially, getting the fundamentals out there and highlighting WHY they exist in ways that are meta/god independent.

If, you wanted to put in god tutorials... Something similar to what Dota 2 has would probably be best, where players make guides (Skill paths, item builds, some info regarding playstyle etc) that anyone can then look at and vote for/against. Essentially like one of those build guide sites like Smitefire but in game.

Since then you can have players themselves providing the information about how THEY build/play their gods in the current patch, with successful builds being the most highly voted and then your janky crap like full crit Thanatos being less voted. Of course, with each guide stating the patch it was created as well as the game mode it's for, it can be easy to sift through out of date or irrelevant guides.
    Preferred Gods:
Aphrodite, Awilix, BAEllona, Da Ji, Discordia, Fenrir, Janus, Jing Bae, Nike, Nox, Skadi, Sol and The Morrigan.

    We need more kawaii skins!
