    Commanding Presence

    Each time Hera deals damage to gods while Argus is inactive, Argus’ cooldown is reduced. While Argus is active, each time Hera deals damage to gods Argus is healed for a flat amount, scaling based on Hera’s Level.

    • Cooldown per hit: 1s
    • Argus Heal: 20 + 5 per level

    Royal Assault

    Hera damages enemies in a cone in front of her before opening a portal for Argus to attack through. Enemy minions hit by this cone are knocked into Argus’ path. Argus then slams his fists at the target location dealing heavy damage. If both of his fists connects with an enemy, it deals 15% extra damage.

    • Ability: AoE
    • Affects: Enemies
    • Range: 45
    • Cone Damage: 30/40/50/60/70 (+15% of your Magical Power)
    • Fist Damage: 75/120/165/210/255 (+75% of your Magical Power)
    • Cooldown: 10s
    • Cost: 55,60,65,70,75

    Polymorph

    Hera weaves magic in front of her before sending it out. Enemies hit by this ability take damage. If this ability hits a god it causes their form to shift into a monster.

    • Damage: 60/105/150/195/240 (+75% of your Magical Power)
    • Polymorph Duration: 1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8/2s

    Divine Shroud

    Hera shrouds herself in her divine power, granting her a shield from damage and temporary movement speed that lasts as long as the shield remains.\n\nIf Argus is active, Argus shines with the same Divine power as Hera, causing him to deal radiant damage and move at an increased rate.

    • Ability: Shield and Buff
    • Affects: Self
    • Shield Health: 50/100/150/200/250 +15 per Hera’s Level
    • Shield Duration: 5s
    • Movement Speed: 15%
    • Argus Aura Damage: 7/11/15/19/23 (+7.5% of your Magical Power)
    • Argus Speed: 50%
    • Cooldown: 16s

    Argus, the Defender

    Hera brings Argus crashing down at a location, damaging and knocking up enemies. On landing Argus will attack the nearest target. Hera can control where Argus moves through refiring this ability onto an enemy or if he has a target, to recall him. While recalled Argus will defend Hera and attack anyone that gets close. Argus has a hit chain that starts with a normal basic attack, into a ground circle AoE slowing enemies by 20% for 1s, into a line attack.

    General

    • Muting players will now mute all audio sources coming from that player (including map pings)

    Console UI Updates

    • Loading screen and many elements on it have been updated to reduce business and have a cleaner aesthetic.

      • Odyssey points, Fantasy Points, or similar currencies have been removed from all loading frames
      • The option to show K/D/A has been removed
      • Players now have the option to “show or hide mastery” which only affects the roman numeral and stars mastery number
      • Options menu has been updated
      • Recently played players has been added

        • Report or friend players after leaving your match lobby!

    Steam Linking

    • An option is now available for PC players to link their SMITE account to the Steam account. Linking your account is optional for now, but will be required in the future.

    Decreased Queue Times

    • Joust: 3m to 2m
    • Arena: 3m to 2m
    • Ranked Conquest 12m to 9m

    ITEM BALANCE
    Oni Hunter’s Garb

    This defensive item provides extreme MP5 and protections for a very low cost. The passive effect that provides percent damage reduction has proven to be too strong for such a low cost. We have seen multiple SPL matches recently where up to 4 copies of this item have been purchased in a single game. This change will make other items more attractive and require players commit more to Oni’s “all-in” play style.

    • Increased Cost from 1900g to 2100g

    GOD BALANCE
    Amaterasu

    Amaterasu has become a top pick for the Support role in pro play. Her Aura ability that provides self sustain, movement speed, and power can create big swings in the duo lane. We are taking her power aura down a notch to focus on her utility and give opponents a chance to outclear her.

    Divine Presence

    • Decrease Power Buff on Valor Aura from 15/20/25/30/35 to 10/15/20/25/30

    Freya

    Freya continues to be the top ban in Ranked play and one of the most winning Mages in SPL. Her burst damage has gotten to a place where it can be countered and controlled, but her movement speed remained much higher than other mages due to decisions made long ago. Freya is now at a point where she can still be strong without that extra movement.

    General

    • Decreased Movement Speed from 375 to 370

    Mercury

    Golden Blade has taken Mercury from a strong pick to a top pick. He is one of the strongest gods in the game at all levels of play. Even though Golden Blade is enabling his power, we want to be careful adjusting that item. Many off-meta struggling gods are using Golden Blade to reach new levels of success. The item passive was recently brought back with a positive reception. We don’t want to hurt all of those other applications just because one god overperforms with the item.

    We will be looking at the interactions of Golden Blade and Made You Look in the future, but for now we will be increasing the cooldown of Mercury’s primary damaging ability. His clear will still be strong but he will need to pace himself more carefully with this ability. Two seconds on a big damage ability can make a big difference, and should bring Mercury down a notch without limiting the good pool in other places.

    Made You Look

    • Increased Cooldown from 8s to 10s

    BUG FIXES
    General

    • Fixed an issue where players could be given the deserter penalty, even when they had no part in causing the lobby to fail.
    • Fixed an issue where in-queue message persisted in match lobby
    • Fixed an FX issue with the Racer Pedestal where the red glow from the pipes would appear rotated
    • Added sound fx to 100% Global Emote
    • Fixed lighting at Joust Order-side fountain where some skins appeared too bright

    • Fixed Refer a Friend where players were unable to select friend to refer

    Uhh... Someone wanna fill me in on how Vamana is apparently proccing Hydra's on anything other than the first hit, given that he has no skills to cast while in his ultimate form?

    Also, Hera's looking stacked af.

    Gonna wait to see how she fairs, but the raw stats are alarming. Like, all her skills do so much thanks to Argus and that's a 2s Polymorph on a 14s base CD? (With a ton of damage too because why not). Not to mention that 50%! speed boost for Argus along with a free (Scaling) Mystical Mail?

    But yeah, we'll see how things turn out. I can already imagine her getting nerfed because you move out of her lane = She takes a tower in like 0 seconds flat thanks to double pummeling from herself and Argus. Like, apparently Sol is so bad with her like 20% AS and damage while Hera's getting a second unit that has ~33% scaling basics on top of her own...

    Post PTS Testing Edit:

    Her Polymorph hits multiple gods? Are you for real? That's insane. It's literally Cern ult on a 14s CD.

    What a bonkers ability.

    (Also, RIPerroni any structures 'cause Argus melts 'em)

    Oh boy, another god with a passive that only affects one ability and is therefore not a true passive...

    EDIT: I'm actually not a big fan of this kit. It's unique, but it feels like a combination of 2 different gods: one being an AoE, CC-focused god who is mean to stop enemies from attacking, and the other being a more defensive god who shields herself and sits behind a big NPC to negate attacks instead of preventing them. If her 2 locked enemies in place rather than disabling their abilities and attacks, I'd have a different opinion; but as of now, her kit actually doesn't seem to play into itself too strongly unless you're supposed to polymorph targets, then pop the shield when the debuff ends. I'll wait until I get my hands on her to see for sure, but it looks kinda wonky as it is.

    Hey, at least her passive isn't just HAVING AN ATTACK CHAIN.

    Yeah, she for sure feels, odd.

    Like, she has this kit that gives her mobility, a health shield, long ranged CC (Literally 65 unit range on her 2) that looks to make her fairly safe when going glass cannon.

    But then the unique part of her kit, her ult minion and her passive as well as the health shield skill providing benefits ONLY while the shield is active kind of pushes her towards more of a defensive tanky build character that can stick around long enough for the minion to do its thing, for her sustain on it to be meaningful and for the shield to stay on longer (A 500 point shield will last way longer when you're rocking 200 prots compared to if you just have 30 prots)

    It's kind of like they were debating making her a Guardian or a Mage and didn't actually make a decision and so we're left with this... Peculiar kit.

    Which isn't to say that she's bad. I definitely see her being picked a lot, because her polymorph is just insane CC and Argus really does shred towers meaning she can really pressure a lane if her opponent has to leave for any reason and then come late game she tosses out her ridiculous CC with massive range constantly and thus provides huge teamfight presence...

    I like the kit but there is definitely missed opportunity and interesting play potential. From stream unless scaling was messed up, she looks super squishy (only 1740 HP at 20, Barrier scales by flat numbers no %'s). She's got flashy Beyonetta moves and a God's 100s CD ultimate duration on a 14s CD. But... Argus is literally just beefy Kaldr with an optional weak Mystical Mail aura that makes you waste your only defensive ability.

    Her only form of mobility is a 15% boost all game from her barrier, I like that this is now three in a row for not overly escape happy releases, but she looks suuuuuuper easy to kill. Even with the knockup and presence from Argus, the scaling Is so average that any melee assassin like Baka and Kali or a long range attacker like Scylla and Thoth are just not going to care about anything she does at all. Her damage isn't good enough to run a full burst build, and again, Argus really doesn't scale that hard (broken objective god tho jesus christ Hirez a hunter can already solo it with Devo Gloves now your giving a mage a bodyguard with 400-2400 HP).

    I would probably give her a 6/10. Love the design, the sass, and the revisit to Nox's original barrier ability, but outside of two blantely strong aspects I'm really not impressed or going to fear her, at least in her current state. Melee gods especially with slows or Fatalis are going to destroy her, especially considering she has no cc immunity either.

    Also horrible patch, only 4 tiny changes, next patch is confirmed only bugs and Hera balance because of worlds. Baron/Cherno/Freya get to run around free for like another 3 months with no attention at all.

    wait a sec, does her passive count on basic attacks? if it does, this shit is beyond broken, because you can build attack speed and ult every 20 sec, not to mention it also heals this guy every time she deal damage...
    TOP 3 most stupid things i've ever see in this forum:
    she can do 1000 dmg at level 3 by just her 2-and passive
    her 3 should be more like medusa moving backwards movement penalty reduced only by 50%
    Her ult now is her 2 but with lower damage but same cooldown!

    She is suppose to ult occasionally they even said that and no i doubt attack speed would be broken on her you can just build cdr and ult every 20-30 seconds

    Her passive works on ANY damage.

    Basic attacks, Mystical Mail, Soul Reaver proc, Telkhines proc, every hit from her 1 (There's 2 hits from the hands and then a semi-circle near you for a total of 3 hits...)...

    I didn't test, but I assume that Soul Gem, Polynomicon and Mage's Blessing also procs her passive.
