I think part of the issue with smite is, rather than trying to pull in the full moba community, the third person aim pulls in more of the casual fps community. Their more used to the fast paced shoot em up action, where as mainstream mobs are very sedate early and need to played methodically.

If I have a friend log in to my Xbox he gets the god pack.
Conversely if that same friend logs in to my system, but I don't own the god pack, he doesn't have it either - even if he owns it on his other Xbox.
So on Xbox it is bound to the system. So if your xbox broke and you had to get a new one, would you lose the god pack?

On ps4 it is account bound, i can log in on any system and have it as long as I'm using the proper account

No. You register your new Xbox as your “home system” and you can get all your DLC again. You can only have one home system though.

I agree smurfs are a huge problem. But you can't limit it to one account per IP address as then siblings are unable to play (my brother and I both play) and people moving would really confuse the system. (If the previous house owner had a smite account, does that mean I can never have one?) I've heard of other games that require a separate mobile phone number verification for each account as that eliminates smurfs without the above problems, but then you have the other issue of how many people are going to play a game where a phone number is required to sign up? Really the only fair solution is to detect smurfs faster (which smite seems to do a pretty poor job of, probably a side effect of the poor matchmaking) so they're getting placed at their actual skill range within 5 matches. I thought I remembered a post somewhere saying smite should detect a smurf within 15 or so matches, but honestly that's way too much time for them to cause havoc.
I'm a NA mid main on PC looking for a team for conquest or ranked joust. I usually play nights CST time; message me if you think I'd be a good fit. No trash talkers please.

Smurfing alone and "for fun" is problem. Smurfing to teach someone to play is not bad. I've done that with few friends and ex-gf. I don't play seriously when I do that. Also, don't take newbies to conquest before they have really good grasp of the game in general.

Another problem is that in game rewards (Tyr skin and gems) encourages players to make smurf accounts if they can't recruit people to the game. Like me I recruited two people, gf and brother, brother didn't stick with it and quit at lv 7. So to get Tyr skin I had to make 2 smurfs. You can only wreck like 8-10 games at max though then matchmaker adjusts.

Requiring a phone number is problematic since it assumes everyone has a phone. Plenty of folks do not, especially overseas.

Smurfing is a giant pain. I was lucky, I got into this game when it was new. Now, I can't imagine trying to learn it when every third lobby has someone needing to feed their ego by beating up on people who have no idea how to even put up a surrender vote...

Well, I mean, yeah. It's porn, literally the reason the internet exists.

Just wait till we get the Aphrodite themed adventure, though it might require an update to the game's rating
