Rule #1 - Always try a god out on Jungle map to decide if they like how the abilities feel.

Good new gods, 1 each per class from free starters except Assassin, Thor and Nemesis are not easy for new people to pick up. Mage gets a third because Sol is easiest ADC Mage, Baron can be done damage, hybrid or tank, Hunter gets 1 Ability and 1 AA.
    Hunter - Neith, Hachiman
    Guardian - Ares, Sobek
    Warrior - Bellona, Odin
Mage - Kukulkan, Baron Samedi, Sol
    Assassin - Da Ji, Pele

noobs reading such posts, try her and then they come back to ask why she doesn't deal damage(because they don't know how to maintain her passive), why her escape is such useless(because timing) and how to hit her ult.

good luck new players with this god, especially with her ult...
TOP 3 most stupid things i've ever see in this forum:
she can do 1000 dmg at level 3 by just her 2-and passive
her 3 should be more like medusa moving backwards movement penalty reduced only by 50%
Her ult now is her 2 but with lower damage but same cooldown!

I agree the Ult is kinda meh though it has had its uses.

Noobs however have to learn sometime to go beyond the simple 'all mages should be built ability based' else they will think Ao Kuang is a great Midlaner only to try and come back asking why he is so bad.

For any new players. I would say Hachiman is a really safe pick. His 1 is great for staying back out of the team fight but still being able to reach in and deal extra basic attack damage. His 2 is great for poke, clearing wave, and for the attack speed buff it gives you when you are in its range. His 3 is a amazing engage or escape depending on what you need it for. If you are trying to get a kill on a low health player, that stun if you learn how to hit it is a real help. Stun and then drop a banner and spam some autos for a easy kill. It can equally be used as a escape to get away when your in a risky situation. His Ult is the same way. Its great for a team fight, a engage, a escape, or even as a kill confirm. If you have a quick assassin leaping out of the equation, just ult and get in range and BAM they are dead. Also the ult has complete crowd control, no stuns, knock ups, disarms, slows. You are completely free to leave or go into a fight as you please. A god with great mobility and crowd control in a ability is very valuable in Smite.
