Voting for surrender before 10 minutes

Why Smite still stay with 10 minutes?
Especially during weekends and events in few 1st minutes it may happens that your team dont stand a chance. Smite use to have technicalk problems with new patches, players can be afk for long time.
For me personally it's big failure as it simply waste players time.

Dear god if the surrender timer was lower, little to no matches would see the end. Surrendering already happens too often, and 5 minutes into the match usually doesn’t decide who will win. Comebacks are always possible. I’m not gonna wait for 3-5 minutes to get into a game that only lasts for less than 10.

I think there are circumstances in which the timer is actually lowered before the 10 min mark.

unless they changed things, I think if a team mate doesn't connect to the game and stays disconnected, the timer drops to like 7 minutes or something

don't quote me on that though, but I have seen the surrender timer be available before the 10 min mark

I know it'll state "early surrender is now available" but tbh I've never seen the same circumstance happen again to cause early surrender to become available twice. It feels really convoluted as to how it becomes avail.

Being stuck in doomed matches is boring. If someone doesn't connect then early surrender is up at 5 minutes, but if they d/c at the start of the match then you have to wait until 10 to surrender.

I agree that surrender should be at 5 min.

Also to surrender should take majority vote 3 not 4. There has been several matches where my team has completely got out played and literally has no towers left while the enemy team has all their towers. So we try to surrender, but because only 2 people out of the 5 want to keep playing we are stuck in the match.

a great deal of players want this to change but I think Hi-Rez has stated that they won't since more players prefer to keep it where it sits, needing 4 out of 5 for the surrender vote to go through.

the main reasoning behind this is that those people feel that the game can still be brought back into their team's favor.

i'm sorry, but this is why I have my list of "if this crap happens by the time a surrender vote can be cast, you might as well just surrender and get into a new game, because frankly, I see no coming back"

I think if someone is dc'd it can kick in sooner, if not, 10 minutes really isn't bad. I almost never run into 10 minutes being an issue. I much more commonly run into 2 dumpster players refusing to surrender at 30 minutes in and 2/107.

    <- almost every game ever.

I will never understand why they refuse to give up in a situation where it is very obvious that not even late game is going to save you from losing.

I would rather just get out of that match and try again

10 min mark is good I think.

One thing tho : I honestly think that if someone just d/c in the first 3 min fo the game Smite should let us start a surrender vote right after the 6 min mark, giving 3 minutes of time to that person to comeback but in the same time, let vote to get out from a match that I personally refuse to play in a 4 v 5, it's unfair.
Moreover in this way that person that went d/c will be reported and should REALLY take a ban , like 1 hour of time to pass into the Login section of smite, not able to doing anything else or to run any other game, so that wuold be a good punishment for the intentional afk or rage quitters or d/c.

I know, sometimes is just you internet connection that crashes and it's not your fault, and because of that we need a different ban system from hi-rez to prevent trolling and intentional d/c.
