    Why are melee gods so much easier then ranged and yet rewarded more...

    I swear as Bellona or that new obnoxiously overpowered Celtic God, all you need to do is walk into the enemy and left click and you get kills. Why are melee gods so much easier to use and more rewarding then ranged gods which take skill to aim, rather then just walking round in a circle and left clicking.

    Lol no. Hunters have been the best class in the game for years, although they were a LITTLE less powerful during season 4.
    And if you want to talk about skill... Neith, the easiest god to play in the game, is a hunter. Most new players also pick mages to play first because they are easier to learn.

    Hunters still get their power off Attack Damage, which is a simply better stat, with better items then Ability Power. Something which League gets wrong as well by giving all the best stuff to AD and Tanks.

    Cu Whatever is a stupidly overpowered God that is so laughably easy to play and has everything in his kit you could want. Free damage, tankiness and mobility... just bad design.

    Wrong game there man, we don't have AD and AP like LoL. Power affects basic attacks and abilities here.

    Melee attacks are 'easier' to land, but ranged attacks have you know, the ranged advantage. Yeah it might take a bit more technical skill to land your shots, but you still get to hit your enemy before they are able to hit you. That can make all the difference for people of equal tactical and technical skill.

    Besides, it isn't as if ranged attacks don't hit as hard. Typically speaking, when a melee attack hits harder than the usually 100% damage that ranged attacks use it suffers in attack speed by an equal amount and vice versa.

    What? When a god buys power, it goes into ALL their abilities and basic attacks. If you don't know what stats this game has, don't act like you understand balance.

    He also has almost no sustain, and he only has any CC whatsoever about every minute or so; and that time increases late-game, when the farming phase ends.

    Well when we learned how to make guns we stopped using melee weapons as our main fighting force for a variety of reason.

    IRL you didn't need to learn how to fight in close combat or have as much physical ability to win fights and it multiplied the probable kill count per soldier.

    In-game has similar idea behind it which is manipulated by HP. Because you are closer and liable to take more damage you haver easier and potentially better skills than a ranged class.
    As a ranged class however you have higher chance of dealing more overall damage and killing multiple people before they can even reach you. This also allows for better objective taking.

    It's a trade off. You've set yourself up into a trick question because you left out the answer.

    It's just fair that, if somebody had close in on a hunter, they should win. A hunter can do the same damage at any distance - or even more, in case of Cernunnos. Or else, who would kill hunters?

    Still the advantages are very slight, the Katana tree and that's it. And still there are only a few gods that can take them one-on-one late game and that depends on specialized builds that's squishier than typical warrior/assassin builds, thus not ideal against everything.

    If you don't want to aim you can always just run to melee range with your range character... then you can hold down your LMB too!

    I also don't buy the idea that range is harder than melee. Do you know why people always wanted full hearts in zelda? It gave you the freebie ranged laser sword which made things a lot easier AND you could still melee anyway. Ranged laser swords are op.

    They also gave peasants muskets when available instead of swords and shit. They were like here, you suck, take this thing and point it at someone/in their general direction and maybe you'll do something useful.
