I'm more indifferent about it. Whilst the term "Voodoo" is very ambiguous regarding a pantheon, it opens a lot of potential doors to both good and bad.

My immediate reaction to the reveal of the "Voodoo pantheon" was, I can see where they are going with it, but it doesn't fit the narrative by comparison, to the rest of the pantheons and the game. It's very general, and not definitive, I'm more looking at, what culture will these deities be coming from? Will they create their own "pantheon" by taking deities from other regions to create the Voodoo archetype? It's less that I think it's a bad thing, and more that it's not clear as to what the Voodoo pantheon will bring us, whereas the Roman, Greek, Norse, Celtic, Mayan, Chinese, Japanese, Egyptian and Hindu pantheons are all easily identifiable.

These are all things I've been thinking about, and I won't pass judgement unto the pantheon until we get deity reveals, see how they look, etc.

On one hand it's awesome that we get a more "Modern" pantheon added to Smite. But on the other hand I wish they would have added more gods to the Japanese and Celtic pantheons before introducing a new once. But i'm still excited for it. Meh

So, I cannot help but feel that this was the work of Chuck. Looking to make the gods edgy since people are saying the skins are too edgy. But hey, maybe I am wrong.

Also, I am holding out for a Sumerian Pantheon. Gilgamesh ftw.

I guess voodoo is the most appropriate banner for all these Loa and such. It gets confusing since it's spread across several cultures and things differ between them. It's not as centralized as "Chinese" or "Norse". But technically it is a "pantheon", albeit a motley crew.

As for Slavic, I'm excited. I'm sure they can make them into a unique pantheon and not the third wheel to the copycat Greek/Roman thing.

Native American should be the next pantheon hands down.

Nah, if we don't get Gilgamesh as like the first god in Season 6 the butthurt level will be over 9000. Sumerian/Babylonian needs to be the next announced Pantheon(s). I suspect it'd get the Greco-Roman treatment of being two different classifications so the more obscure characters can sneak in.

well considering that thhis year there's gonna be 2 additional pantheons, then who knows? maybe next year there will be 2 as well.
and with the addition of Slavic, there are only 4 other pantheons on my wish list remaining. those being, in no particular order, Mesopotamian, Native American, Aboriginal, and Polynesian.
