    New Gods

I think that important gods like Seth, Horus, Persephone even Perseus (As this Medusa I think it would be a good idea) should not come out of the blow but at least they are aware of leaving

Not all of the "gods" are actually gods. Several of them aren't gods at all actually so Demigods should definitely be more common. But as far as Set or Horus those are great ideas. Though the reason they haven't really touched those pantheons in a while is probably politically influenced.
Some pantheons were very under-represented and there was probably a bit of pressure to rectify that quick. fast, and in a hurry.
So we won't be getting back to more interesting (subjective) mythological pantheons for a while. Out of the last 20 gods only 4 have been from the most known mythologies Greek/Roman/Norse/Egyptian.
It gets worse, starting from April 2014-present only 3 gods from the most known mythology around the planet arguably.
The problem is only exacerbated because HiRez release usually less than 10 gods a year now. And even though that number is double that of other notable games in the genre (see LoL) it's still terrible considering Smite has the easiest character creation ever. They don't have to think of any original design, background, lore, name, designation, anything really. They should be able to pop out a God once a freaking week.
The hardest part of god creation for HiRez has to be model animations. Even then I'm sure 1 guy can cobble up the generic animations in a few days part-time.
But it isn't even 1 guy. They have a studio employing 435 (information retrieved from their LinkedIn page)
Not having better data we can't say how many exactly are tasked on Smite but I digress.
2012: 10 gods (not counting the original set)
    2013: 18
    2014: 14
    2015: 10
    2016: 12
    2017: 9
It is remarkably strange, at least with LoL you can think that they are possibly running out of ideas. They have taken inspiration from outside plenty but still much has to be freshly imagined. Whereas previously mentioned HiRez get to basically take 100% from wikipedia ffs!
All they have to do is a passive and 4 abilties. The passives in smite are almost without exception incredibly bland and simple.
Usually no imagination whatsoever. And while the 4 abilities tend to be pretty unique quite a few are also taken basically from wikipedia.
Notably a lot of champions ultimates are directly pulled from the lore.

    Really it's sad.

They're adding voodoo and slavic pantheons this coming year. You can only do so much with abilities, roles, etc within a given pantheon.
Not to mention the amount of complaining from the fanbase that eg "GREEKS HAVE TOO MANY MAGES" or something like that
