    How to learn Conquest?

I've been playing Smite for a while, but never played much conquest.

I've read a few guides and practiced against bots, but these do little to prepare you for the real thing - the guides can't account for the fluidity, and the bots are (as we all know) a joke.

So when I step into a conquest match, I can absolutely, 100%, definitely guarantee that the vitriol and abuse will start flowing my way within about 3 minutes.

Apparently, playing conquest is the Holy Grail of all smite accomplishments, and should someone join your match who isn't up to your perceived standards then Doom On Them (especially if they play jungle - god help them if they play jungle...if they play jungle they absolutely must be in nine places at once ALL THE TIME or they are noobs, irrespective of what they're actually doing, how they've performed so far, and whether or not their chosen jungler is an early, mid, or late peaker).

So. You can't really learn from guides and bots. You just get shouted at whenever you join a match.

    ...any ideas?

So what? Just play and you learn automatically after several games.

Dunno why ppl are afraid of being offended by random guy in online game, especially when mute button exist.

People might talk shit but ignore and you can always ask for guideance(?) there are a lot of players who'd help.

For learning conquest you pick 2 roles that you know and like for example adc and support.. You can watch streamers, look at YouTube. Etc in order to learn the role, you can do your research but nothing prepairs you more for it more than just doing it.. If you get bmed then explain that you don't conquest much and that you don't know what you are doing.

You will get hate from people like stealing buffs, no team work etc and it's hard because when you que solo you will not learn anything since insterlocking and going any lane is a given in casuals, atleast on ps4

The way I learned was by joining a team or grouping up with team mates and having all 5 players know what lane.. Then you will start to improve.. To add to that " twitch streamers" who que ranked, play the role you like will then boost you further since you can ask for advice and see what it is you should be doing. Bare in mind that conquest changes and it's not just about knowing the map but knowing how to build and counter build. You pick multi roles because getting your chosen role can be difficult since in conquest you might get 2 people who want to be adc and if they don't know any other role then it can make things complicated. So learn every role if you can but specialise in 1-2 roles

Hope this helps and good luck

they are going to talk shit rather you know what you're doing or not - probably just as soon as they die. I believe its called deflection. Sure MAYBE I suck because I died, maybe I shouldn't have been doing what I was doing, but none of that matters because look at THIS guy over here!

Honestly? Just play it. Guides, videos, and streamers will only get you so far, you need first-hand experience. Dealing with the toxicity and rage is part of the experience, its going to be everywhere and its not going to disappear. Don't let it tilt you, and if it gets over baring, use the mute button.

You can also say that you are a new player in conquest and that you will do your best but that you would appreciate it if other players could point out where you need to go.

I found that if you say that people will be a little more understanding.
