I suck at being Daji!!

I am decent assassin player, not bad, but not pro either...I seem to cannot figure out Daji! She's so hard.
I want to play her as either Jungler or Solo laner or sometimes in siege and Arena, but I just suck at being Daji
Thing is she is so squishy like serqet and I can't go without daji tons of times it's either 4/8, 20/11, 18/12 I can't stop dying with her, my best kdr score so far with her is 20/3 but I guess it's only because enemy team was full of new players. I jsut suck at being Daji and I desire so much to learn to play her
Is it OK to die with her that much but at the same time get lots of kills, because of her squishiness like Serqet
It's unbearable how squishy she is, Let's say there are Ra and Jing Wei, I use trickster on Ra and I don't even get to do full combo I'm already dead, also she needs proper escape, why wouldn't we be able to use trickster without targeting ally or enemy, minion or whatevs, it sucks Loki can use his ult even if he doesn't have specific target and sometimes uses as escape, the only escape with Daji is using her ult to chain few enemies if aim right and then jump off somewhere far and escape

Well as a solo laner its not really going to work very well. You have one ability for good clear and its damage Lv. 1-2 is pathetic and can also be interrupted. Add in also that you are squishy, your mobility is limited, and you have no sustain without the use of items and Da Ji makes for a pretty bad solo laner.

The most important thing that I noticed right away...you want to play her as a jungler or solo laner. My advice is only ever play Da Ji as a jungler (if you're playing Conquest). Build for your abilities, ability burst is your main source of damage. Get some defense, but not more than two items. A good start for her is for instance (start Bumba's Mask) Warrior Tabi - Jotunn's Wrath - Shifter's Shield - Titan's Bane, then possibly a Hydra's Lament and defense item or any alternative you like to build on your junglers. You don't really have much of a restriction in terms of relics, build Beads/Aegis where necessary, blink if you need the engage potential or Horrific Emblem at level 12 if you want to go for the ult combo and they don't have much in the way of slow counters. Use your 1 before your 3 to get your damage off quickly, or use 3 then 1 with AA canceling (especially if you have Hydra's) for higher but slower damage, when the enemy can't Aegis it.

What are you building? That might be your problem. Also, she's not really solo material because she can't really resist pressure all too well and she doesn't have any safe poke.

She doesnt have front line abilities.

Daji is an ability based combo god, not an auto-attack based god.

Focus on items like Jouthen's, Hydra's and Titan's bane.

Early-game, you don't need to rely on FB for sticking. Just get power and pen early. Late-game, if you feel like you're falling off, get FB or HK and maybe Exe for attack speed, but no more of your build should be AA-focused.

EDIT: Also, sell Ich for something else late-game.

Dont build attack speed

Da Ji is great at doing ability damage; build her pen and power.

And that is not nearly enough defense for solo lane; solo lane means you need to build bruiser, not DPS.

You need around 3-4 defensive items and 1-2 offensive items.

But again, play jungle for the best performance with Da Ji.
