Items that grant you extremely large benefits but at an equally large price.

I think it'd be cool and give build diversity. Number balancing obviously subject to change, here's two examples.

One gives extreme CDR AND breaks the CDR cap but makes you deal MUCH less damage.

The other gives an extremely large Damage increase but reduces your HP to almost nothing.

    Timewarp Chain.

    Cost: 2800 gold.

    +80 Magical Power

    +20% CDR

Passive: Increase CDR by an additional 25% and CDR Cap by 25%

Passive: Reduce all damage dealt by 30% and an additional 10% Scaling.

So Scylla with 65% CDR would have these CDs. But they'd also deal much less damage.

    1) 3.5s. Deals 182 + 42.5%

    2) 3.5s. Deals 224 + 53%

    3) 5.25s

    4) 31.5s. Deals 560 + 74%

    ---

    Another item would be-

    Book of Sacrifice.

    Cost: 2800 Gold

    +90 Magical Power

    +20% Magical Lifesteal

    +10% CDR

Passive: Increase all Damage Dealt by 30% and an additional 5% Scaling.

Passive: Reduce Max HP by 35% and an additional 120.

So Scylla would only have 1001 HP base or 1391 with Warlocks.

In exchange she can oneshot you with Crush-

    1) Deals 338 + 102.5%

    2) Deals 416 + 122%

    4) Deals 1040 + 161%

    I think it's a fair tradeoff.

    ---

    Spirit-Shredder Spear

    Cost: 2800 Gold.

    +110 Magical Power

    +850 Mana

Passive: Your Abilities deal True Damage.

    Passive: Mana Costs increased +500%, -100% MP5.

It seems OP and yes it probably is. Massively counters Tanks.

But you can barely cast any abilities before running out of mana. And you only gain mana from pots or fountain.

    Scylla's mana costs-

    1) 360/420/480/540/600 Mana

    2) 420/450/480/510/540 Mana

    3) 420/450/480/510/540 Mana

    4) 600 Mana

And before you ask don't worry, this last item is disabled in Arena.

They have tried a negative addition to items that grant a lot of good stats with Achilles Spear from Season II.

It wasn't popular and they haven't tried another self-infliction item like it since.

It sound more like some shiny knick-knack than something that benefits the gameplay. It shoves things all the way in the spectrum to ridiculous.

I actually admit to using that on Loki Solo.

Don't look at me like that, I played Loki solo when I was a complete noob back in S2.

Stop looking at me like that, I know that was bad.

    STAP IT.

Anyway I used it both for sustain in lane and lategame (I'd get TP to ward and Achilles, or skip TP and get Beads if need be) I'd use it on jungle camps to heal up after a kill or taking a tower.

It worked pretty good actually in low ranks, I could stay out splitpushing for days.

Then again in those days Loki when fed could take out a full HP Phoenix solo, without minions and without dying.

looking at the title I expected items that gave 70+ power (for either magical or physical) and cost more than 3000 gold

Now you know what I deal with all the time on the forums. I can see weaker version of this working. This is a bit too much power in just one item. Even if you made the cost really high. It would be too op late game. I think the 40% cooldown cap is stupid to begin. Abilities already cost mana to use them. Just raise mana cost if too constant.

I never played season 2. I would buy it. I don't know the item though. The item has to have a high counter to be valuble. Smite can't just throw anything in and expect it to work.

It was a Relic (Active back then).

Costs 300/600 gold iirc, I forgot what it upgraded to but it gave something like-

    +30% Attackspeed

    +30% Lifesteal

    +(Pen? Idk)

You take +35% Damage from all Sources.

    Lasts 6 sec.

    30 sec CD.

    Something like that.
