    Thoughts on XBLANQUE

With the fire dancer skin out i thought I would give xblanc a shot, and he is not bad at all. Actually I was kind of impressed by how much dps i was able to do. I know he likes trans but i have not been picking it up at all on him. Instead i have mostly been running devos and using deaths toll to get me through the early game without wasting too much mana from my 1.

I switch up the first 3 items build order almost every game, but executioner definitely seems to be the first or second item i will rush.

Ninja tabi, devos, Executioner, rage, brawlers or poison star, and i usually just keep building crit.

Sometimes ill pick up an early devos, but i have not bought trans on him at all lately.

My skill order has been 2-3-1-4, though sometimes ill go 2-1-3-4. but i don't like the additional mana cost on his 1 until later in the game.

Any of you guys tried him out lately? I will admit I rarely played this god in the past, even though I have always thought he was pretty fun.

ok, so i could be wrong but i think an ideal build on him would be this, obviously this won't be an option every game but jesus that dps.

    ninja tabi/ Executioner/ rage/ poison star/ wind demon/ deathbringer.

End game stats seems to be

289 power- unsure if i had 3k pot ticking on me here
    2.0 attack speed
95% crit- assuming full stack rage
And -36% pen fully stacked executioner

    This was shredding everything

The problem is not that his DPS is weak.

1.) No passive early game and with bad luck no passive at all.
    2.) Poor wave clear.
3.) Enormous hunger for mana if you use your 1 to clear the wave.

So yes he has nice dmg but he pays greatly for it.
Everything begins in darkness, and also ends. The heart is no different.
Darkness sprouds within it- it growns, consumes it.
    Such is its nature.
In the end, every heart returns to the darkness whence it came.

i can agree with 1, his wave clear isn't horrible with deaths toll. and 3 really only matters if you are pointing your 1 early game.

I have not had any mana issues with him without transcendence, and what i have been doing is not lvling the 1 and instead kind of just holding points until i plan on fighting then just spam lvling it.

but i have not had any problem with your first point but i can see someone getting unlucky maybe?

I think he is pretty good atm.

He isn't bad and always brings something to table since no one can fully counter darkest night.

Xbalanque is arguably in the best spot he has ever been atm.

His Ultimate is as strong as ever. Aside from the obvious benefits of Darkness and Stun, the added BA range is also strong and the best part about it is that using it actually grants you assists even for targets that die on the other side of the map which is a nice added source of income if you pay attention.

His 3 is one of the best abilities in the game simply for the fact that it grants CC Immunity and is basicly autoaiming. The damage is good too.

His 2 while not being as strong as it used to be (It used to have close to 200% scaling, those were the days), it is still strong and the slow helps lining up basics which is neat. Landing 3 needles is also rather easy once you understand how the ability works.

Which leaves his 1 which is probably the aspect of his kit that received the most buffs. The mana costs have been dramaticly reduced since I started playing while Deaths Toll, especially the mana it gives has been buffed substancially.

Deaths Toll + Rank 1 Bolas basicly means that you can spam them without remorse as long as you hit.

This basicly solves the main concern players had with Xbalanque, Mana issues steming from the fact that his bolas are costly.

Putting all these benefits together, you have a strong and super safe hunter who can influence teamfights withot even having to be there. Him having his passive increasing his basics even further is just icing on the cake, but really, up to 80 extra damage on his basic attacks for free? (ignoring mana) with that damage branching off to other Targets? Xbalanque is a damage hog if there ever has been one.

Assuming you ever make it out of the laning phase with the current meta going on right now. Even Rama has higher lane pressure than he does at the moment and both are hyper carries. The only thing I can say Xbal does better than Rama is the ult.

Even if you fall super far behind, Xbal's ult is on such a low cooldown with barely any counterplay to it that maybe something good will happen because of it.

Otherwise, as someone stated before, he doesn't have a passive unless the person plays like a god or ends up steamrolling due to other circumstances.

You likely had the red buff and one or both power pots running, to have that much power.

    Ninja Tabi - 20
    Executioner - 35
    Rage - 30
    Poison Star - 20
    Wind Demon - 30
    Deathbringer - 50
    Passive - 30

Total of 215. Personally I'd drop Poison Star for Transcendence. You'd lose a bit of crit (meh) and a bit of attack speed but gain an extra 75 power. You'd crit a LOT harder. With his 1 active, I've regularly crit for over 1k with Xbal.

I think your missing his scaling damage per lvl also but no matter.

I think i had a red pot on, tbh i have had zero issues with his damage so id like to keep the attack speed but i am still working with the build a little and will give this a shot later.

I think devos atm is stronger then trans, but ill give trans a shot and see what i think of it.
