So how long until all stacking items like thoth, warlock, trans and so on get the "evolved" item treatment?Doesn't really do anything beside make the item look different and change its name to "evolved X" and stuff.

You don't understand.Edgar is the one in the hole.
"Tell me again little Lamb. What is mine to take?"
"All things dear Wolf.
"Never one."
"Without the other."
Jing Wei is the best goddess in, SMITE, in everything. <3 #Notbiased
Jing Wei stats: 15 Godlikes 2 Penta's 4 Quadra's <3
but they do not evolve they just stack.
evolve is for items that grant new stats upon reaching its stack mark
Rocking the boat
Evolving is for things that get a specific extra benefit from getting the final stack.
Thoth/Trans/Devo/Warlock/Urchin etc get the same benefit from each stack, so there's no reason to evolve them.
The most notable example of this lack of need to evolve is Doom Orb. Given that it will lose stacks on death, would be super awkward to try and make it evolve at 50 stacks then become a 25 stack Doom Orb again post death.
If you're suggesting making these items evolve, by changing their stats so that they get the extra benefit from the last stack... It'd probably help if you brought suggestions on how and why to do such a thing.

Well, instead of "evolving", they could just change to "Stacked <item>". Nothing would really change other than the item's icon, and the stacking counter would go away. Would allow enemies to see if you had fully stacked the item, and perhaps by changing the actual item stats (not the numbers, but the "Stacked" item being counted at full stacked value) it would register better on the power/defense/etc stat readouts. Because right now it doesn't compute stats very well if you have stacking items. Would also be helpful in the god-builder, if you could set it for the "stacked" version, so you could see EXACTLY how much power, health, mana, etc you'd have once things got fully stacked up.
Because those items the change actually gives you some pretty notable information rather than just "Looking nice"?
The items that have a significant benefit from the last stack, changing their appearance, is a very clear sign that that significant benefit has been gained.
Items without this, it's less important to give any real significant appearance change because there is no such spike in what the item provides.
Then of course, there's the Doom Orb issue where it'd just be extra work to constantly keep switching its icon around whenever you lost stacks.

doom orb I could maybe see why Hi rez wouldn't want to give an evolved look but hey fresher icons are never a bad thing. I invite the idea but would say its really important to do. It'd just look nice, besides players need to just read an item tool tip over depending the item changing its look to indicate that there is a large stat gain or gain.
