Neith in the solo lane

So Neith is probably my top pick for the solo lane, but almost every time I pick her I get the same messages "why did you pick neith for solo" "what a stupid choice branny" "what r u doing" "do u even smite bro" etc etc. Only to out level most of my team and more often than not succeed against the enemy solo laner.

I know she's a hunter and is usually picked as a carry, but she has great clear, a heal, an awesome escape, and that ult works brilliantly in solo lane with almost no interruptions. It made sense on paper, so I tried it and it worked and I still pick her frequently in that role.

Is she really that bad of a choice? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Its a bad choice if you end up not having a frontline

The solo lanes role late game is a frontline tank.

If you have an assassin jungle then a neith solo really messes up your guys late game.

If you want a lane where you can just be on your own with neith, go mid as the only point of middle is to give damage from the backline and high AOE.

Even though neith isnt the greatest mid, she is better there than in solo

It is usually better to have a second frontliner in the solo lane than a squishy so you don't put all of the weight onto your support.

And also you out-level most of your team because that is what solo lane is; slap-fighting and farming for 8-15 minutes and fighting people 2-3 levels under you.

Well that does explain things. I'm a very casual player. On PS4. On Aus servers. So.. a lot of the time the team compositions (on both teams) aren't great anyway. I don't usually feel like our late game is affected but I can see the logic. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks

You're my friend on PS4, haha. Hi. Honestly, she's better in mid. I've been playing her often in mid as of late and I've out cleared majority of the mages I've versed and her early pressure is great. Plus the global ult is great because you get a clear view of Solo and Duo.

I'll tell you this, she was the bane of my existence early game as Amaterasu. Couldn't do much without her pushing me back and clearing lane while a Loki lied in wait. Of course, they had coordination and I was solo with a trolling Ra and Kumbha party who would 'Cancel that!' my cries for help but I could see her getting mangled later in the game.
