View Full Version : Should Spirit Robe get a slight buff?

It's such an overlooked niche item these days.
I use it mostly on Athena and Ymir along with BoV, and it gives me a solid foundation of over 100 phys def to work on as well as supplying some mage def if I ever need to build that more.
The passive is actually decent in stopping me from getting too hurt if I am CC'ed coupled with the protections.
So my idea for a buff is that the protections could be bumped about to 50 each, or the passive could supply 20% reduction if CC'ed instead of 15% so it looks a tad more shiny. The CDR would stay the same, and the price bumped up say 150-250 gold.
Thoughts on this?

No, it's good enough as is, it offers a significant amount of defense and CDR, with a fairly decent passive, and people do take it.

it's perfectly balanced atm imo. I get it quite often.

Spirit robe is amazing against heavy cc teams.

The only item needing a buff on that tree is the bubble of shame. Puting aside that Robe and HotU are already very good items, they shine even more at it's side, so much I can't understand how anyone would undervalue any of it's brothers.
Robe doesn't need any buff, it was already buffed and it offers good protections+mitigation, and on top of that it gives you cdr, which is great and offers some build diversity.

I'm genuinely surprised.
In most of my matches in casual Conquest this item never sees the light of day, but I have no idea about league.

Amen to that.

I don't think it's necessary, it's my bread and butter when I play khepri.

Although with just a slight buff I could drop another def item in favour of some movement speed...

My initial reaction is, yes, it could use 150 health.

In terms of protections I think it's a bit lackluster compared to hide of the urchin, which gives more initial protections and you get another 20 by stacking, not to mention its 250 health and mana. I would vouch for having it give you some bonus mana, say 300 since you need a bit of extra mana to keep using your abilities, this way it's a more reliable item for ability based warriors and guardians who might want to lean torwards a tank/bruiser-ish build. Otherwise it's perfectly good.

i think its base stats should be 100 physical defense 100 magical defense 40% cooldown

Now that would be op.

The protections are a little low on this item or the obvious lack of health is a problem. This item is still very good vs cc heavy teams, it just sucks to have to buy it over urchin.

it's a perfect item as it is. It's an item specifically made to shut down loki or let you help mitigate heavy CC teams.

Its balanced.

Other items need a buff, like Ancile, Void Shield.

Why void shield?

It's overrated as all hell and quite possibly the worst item for single hard defense.

But it has power and that passive on it.

That price though.

That price though.

Exactly, Void Stone has same statistics, but is 250g cheaper.

Spirit Robe is already a very good item, you just have to build HP somewhere.

Pal it will get in season 3 ! Spirit robe get an active what basicly its a combat blink do you need any more buff then this.
