The pre-existing treasure chest has been renamed the “Odyssey” treasure chest. This treasure chest will expire on the same day that the Odyssey ends.
Players will continue to receive a free Odyssey Treasure Chest with each Odyssey item that they purchase.

Gods - Balance/Updates/Fixes


Apollo

“We wanted to maintain the “escape artist” style that Apollo has while reducing his crowd control to be more in line with other Hunters. We like Apollo’s utility in boxing situations with the protections from Serenade but he will now have to accommodate or itemize for magical burst. Overall this does not fundamentally shift how Apollo is played, but will help to put him a bit more in check.”
Serenade

This ability no longer provides magical protection, only physical protection.


The Moves

Reduced Knockback impulse from 300 to 175, resulting in a much shorter duration.






Arachne

Web

Fixed an issue that was limiting the number of spiders she could have out to 2 at a time, even if both webs were broken.



Athena

Fixed her soldiers not disappearing after her death. Thier watch has ended.

Passive

New passive meter added.


Eat Minion

Fixed his inability to eat Nu Wa Clay Soldiers at ranks 2-5. Yum!

Fixed his animations continuing after canceling Tremors while the Seismic crush buff was still active.

Freya

“With this ability it was too easy for Freya to confirm damage and secure kills at range. The AoE “bombs” of Valkyrie’s Discretion allow Freya to guarantee damage on targets that are kiting through minions or players as well as extending her range to find kills under towers. The goal of this adjustment is to add a bit more skill to Freya’s flight, while making it more escapable for long distance targets.”
Valkyrie's Discretion

Reduced radius from 15ft to 12ft.
Reduced range from 65ft to 55ft.

Fixed an issue where she would get an assist if an enemy god died within 5s of gaining mark.

“Rama’s Astral Barrage deals a large amount of damage semi-globally and highly rewards skill and aim with escalating damage as the targeter gets smaller. His damage output and range from the duo lane made tasks like burning enemy tanks at the Gold Fury a bit too effective. His damage has been downward adjusted to be more appropriate.”

Fixed Diamond card using default image background


Astral Barrage

Reduced base damage from 250/350/450/550/650 to 200/300/400/500/600.
Reduced physical power scaling from 80% to 60%.


Rolling Assault

Fixed a condition where an Astral Arrow gained while using this ability would not deal bonus damage or cripple when consumed.






Sobek

Passive

Fixed an issue with his passive activating when using Health and Mana potions.



Sylvanus

“Sylvanus has had a very strong launch, and with this patch we’re making some pretty significant adjustments to bring him into a better state. Wisps has had its cooldown increased to reduce effective “up-time” of the HoT and protection buff as well as the efficacy of the heal reduced. Verdant growth was allowing for Nature’s Grasp to be a bit too easy to land, and contributing to an exceptionally long CC chain. A reduced root time is expected to reduce Nature’s Grasp hit rate and allow for more counterplay in lane.”

Fixed tree roots showing underneath the pedestal in the match looby.


Basic Attack

Improved targeting in relation to hitting Towers.


Verdant Growth

Root duration reduced from 2s to 1.25s.
Improved tooltip description.


Wisps

Healing reduced from 25/35/45/55/65 to 25/30/35/40/45 per tick.
Cooldown changed from 18/17/16/15/14 to 18s at all ranks.
Fixed an issue where if stunned right after casting wisps, Sylvanus would still receive the healing himself, but the ability didn’t go on cooldown.



Zhong Kui

General

Fixed an issue where his basic attack projectile was invisible.

Baraka Baka's Creed Patch

Baraka-Sura, will be the model for all skins, but Feaster Bunny and Death Machine. I've already made my opinion on this made enough times. I'll say it one last time on the patch video Tuesday/Wednesday.

--- Treasure Chest
There is now a Halloween specific Treasure Chest for this month. Not a bad idea, if you specifically want to gamble on those skins, pretty cool. Wonder what wards and voice packs will be in that chest. Looks like a good chance to get whatever halloween skin you want. They are 400 though, since you have a higher chance of getting these skins + The King!

---New God Skins
Zhong Kui: FINALLY, we finally get Ghost Buster Zhong Kui. Yay, just yay. Everything about this skin just looks amazing AND the voice pack, wow. I am slightly scared about Copyright though, like Bastet's Catwoman skin.

Osiris Skins: Two Fraken-osiris's?!. Knew this was coming, except..the fact there's two.
Frankenhotep Osiris:Pretty funny and looks cool, surprised he his body parts don't surprise.
Calling a Bride skin for Isis next year.
Re-animated Osiris: Huh, so different skin and colors, but voice pack is the same but bubbly.

He Bo: Croc-rider He Bo?! wow, It's He Bro but with a Croc instead of a Surf Board and new voice pack. Wow. It is weird that the Shark and not the Croc eats him though.

---Voice Packs
DryBear, HirezBart, and DM saying the announcer kills, that is an interesting idea and will certainly get money from fans.
Oh God Stargazer Anubis Voicepack is beyond amazing. I'm getting that voice pack instantly.
Bakasura's voice pack updated again, I own that voice pack, so we'll be hearing that eventually.

---Portraits
Silver Ares with a pretty cool looking portrait, same with the new bakas. The Art department doing a good job as always.

---Balances
Apollo Nerf: Serenade no longer gives magical protections and The Moves have a smaller knockback. The idea here is to give Apollo a harder time with magicals and harder disrupt. Apollo is a pretty strong god, this hurts a little, but he'll still be strong.

Freya Nerf: Ultimate (Valkyrie's Discretion), now her range and size of blasts are smaller. It was a good kill secure, she does a ton of damage on the ground and finish people who got away while in the sky. Not a bad nerf, she'll still be strong, but less secures out of her.

Rama Nerf: Ult Damage reduced, Rolling Assault damage nerfed. Rama's ult does a lot of damage, but it isn't easy to land. Bart's point is that pros don't miss them often, so they had to nerf it. Also nerf to scaling 80% scale to 60%. Definitely brings him down a bit, for lower level play this will hurt quite a bit.

Sylvanus Nerfs: His 1 root has been shortened and his Wisp healing nerfed. 1.5s Root is still pretty good, but the loss on heals definitely hurts as he is a big healing machine. He'll still be a good threat, this just gives his push and team fight a little push down.

Summary:
Dang, pure nerf patch. I think all of the nerfed gods will still be in a good position, the nerfs hurt them, but not too much. As always, an awesome job by the art department and the voice work is amazing. Overall a good patch. I know I'll be slightly salty about losing little Baka, but nothing I can do about that.

It might be too much because how is he going to box other ADC's and stop warriors from advancing all over him? Also remember that assassins are a problem, and Apollo was built to be an escape artist - type character.

What are you talking about? They fixed the "max 2 Spiders"-bug into "max 4 Spiders". Are you telling me that you can't solo Gold Fury anymore because you now will have two more Spiders? That makes no sense, so i guess you did not understand the sentence about the fix.

Such a stupid argument from you. How will other low tier ADC like Cupid, Xbal, and even Neith box apollo when he has free 50 physical protection. And if he decides to buy void blade, he would get even more protection and becomes impossible to fight. He basically got a built in void blade from the mesmerize. How would other ADC stop warriors and assassins from advancing over them? You forgot that Apollo has a dash and an ult that he can use to escape bad situations. If apollo maxes out his mez after his wave clearing abilityl he will dominate all boxing matches single handedly during the early levels. Since most ADC don't buy Titan bane until they have finished all other core items, Apollo's free void blade gives him an unfair advantage over the others

Xbalanque has to play defensively, and then he can rip anyone apart. Just getting Apollo to back is usually enough for him to kill the rest of the team, especially if he gets fed.

Cupid isn't an adc.

Neith's job is mainly just to hold down her lane and poke the enemy, not to get them in boxing matches really. It's kind of hard to outpush a Neith, but it's also kind of hard to die to a Neith.

The point everyone is trying to explain to you is that Apollo's kit is ridiculously bloated even without the protections. He doesn't need the 50 protections, PERIOD. No other hunters get free protections, why should Apollo? Apollo has a long mez, a dash, and an ult to escape. His passive and high damage scaling are enough to let him win boxing matches against other hunters. He does not need a free void blade. Give his protections to Cupid and AMC who need them more. Apollo needs to have protections stripped from him, and his passive should take 20 stacks to activate, not 10. The fact that he can build straight damage and still reach AS speed cap is pretty broken. ALso, his passive should not be charged by dashing through minion waves. He should to land at least 20 basic to get his OP passive.

Well if they want to make him a slippery escape artist that is impossible to lock down, then NERF his damage. He has the highest auto attack damage scaling for hunters besides Rama and Anhur. Also his passive allows him to build straight damage with no attack speed, and still reach the attack speed cap. The reason why he is the best hunter, top picked, and most played God is because he has everything in his kit. Damage, defense, long cc, and escape... He doesn't have any weaknesses. Artemis deals massive damage but she is immobile. AMC has good clear and high attack speed, so he has no escape or cc. Apollo just has everything in his kit. Not a single weakness. Rama is more balanced than Apollo. His only ability damage is the ult, which is very hard to confirm shots.

You need to consult the dictionary asap and learn the meaning of dramatic. Just because someone is scrutinizing your favorite God doesn't mean that the person was defeated and came on here to vent. Probably the most stupid assumption that any God's bitter fan boys can make. Apollo is the number 1 most played character according to smiteguru. He is popular for a reason. The hunters class in general is the most imbalanced of all because the difference in power level between each character is astounding. Apollo needs to be nerfed down to the same level as balanced hunters like Cupid and Xbal. Until Xbal is picked up just as many times as Apollo in the competitive scene, Apollo will still be considered OP by most. Since there is only 1 hunter per team in the current meta, picking a strong hunter like Apollo over weaker ones like Cupid poses a big advantage to the team. All hunters should be on the same level, since there is 1 per team, and that they should have the same carry potential as one another. APollo will always out-carry other ADC like Cupid and AMC because of his split-pushing cheese tactics and winning 1v1 boxing matches. You need to consult the dictionary asap and learn the meaning of dramatic. Just because someone is scrutinizing your favorite God doesn't mean that the person was defeated and came on here to vent. Probably the most stupid assumption that any God's bitter fan boys can make. Apollo is the number 1 most played character according to smiteguru. He is popular for a reason. The hunters class in general is the most imbalanced of all because the difference in power level between each character is astounding. Apollo needs to be nerfed down to the same level as balanced hunters like Cupid and Xbal. Until Xbal is picked up just as many times as Apollo in the competitive scene, Apollo will still be considered OP by most. Since there is only 1 hunter per team in the current meta, picking a strong hunter like Apollo over weaker ones like Cupid poses a big advantage to the team. All hunters should be on the same level, since there is 1 per team, and that they should have the same carry potential as one another. APollo will always out-carry other ADC like Cupid and AMC because of his split-pushing cheese tactics and winning 1v1 boxing matches. Anyway, you're wrong again. You're overextending Apollo's kit. Apollo is picked EXTREMELY often because of the safety he provides, and the best split pushing potential in the game (maybeee Janus can compete). That is Apollo's forte. The reason why you see him in high level play SO much is because of his split pushing potential and gank secure through coordination. That is the difference here my friend.

Xbal and Cupid aren't picked up as often because of their fundamentally flawed kits in the current meta (Xba's ult, Cupid's everything), and those don't really compare to the other hunters. Artemis was right up there in popularity with her brother for picks before the nerf. She was nerfed hard and her waveclear was affected, however she still is a very viable hunter. Any hunter that can delete the way she can late game is viable; I don't see how you can think Artemis isn't viable. Rama is also very viable, and even moreso than Apollo in certain comps.

Ullr is mana hungry, Neith is ability based (still very viable) and AMC is very susceptible to CC. Anhur has also been showing his face in the competitive scene. Honestly you are making a big deal out of nothing. Apollo is usually picked because he's such a safe hunter. That's what most players like; safety from mobility (which is why you see a ton of Mercury/Serqet/Loki).

I could sit here all day and literally name all the things Apollo can't do that the other hunters can (like heal himself, stun a target, CC a target to death, blind all opponents with his ult, etc). You can list all the good things about a kit, but in reality all of them have some sort of bloated aspect associated with them. Apollo's split pushing is just that prevalent in the current meta; securing objectives is much more important than throwing a stinger, because even if Apollo's ult did no damage, he would still be picked for his split push potential. Catch my drift?

Well, thanks for that Freya nerf. Considering the fact that I suck as her, now have lags/fps drops after this patch and her ult is nerfed you saved me like 12 euro that I was about to spend on her voicepack and Pixel skin.

why did you get rid of the timer for when you try to find a match i really liked that type of queuing because it was different to lol's queuing witch took forever to find a game and now its like this in smite and it is fairly annoying but other than that everything is fine :)
