Hello all. I'm looking for volunteers to fill in the guide and guru roles.

I've decided to relaunch the guides and gurus initiative. Originally, a guide was meant to be an "ideal player" archetype, there to show the best of what the smite community had to offer. Due to the misleading title, and me having to deal with other life stuff right after the initial launch, the whole system kind of failed.

This time, we're relaunching the Guides and Guru systems with a new thought.

What I'm looking for in a Guide

Willing to help answer questions
Solid understanding of all things smite
Willing to help create and improve community resources
Help create and overhaul community resources on the forums

So here's what I'm planning on doing with the guides as main projects (I'll be doing quite a bit of work on these myself)

1) Overhauling the "tome of athena" : http://forums.smitegame.com/showthread.php?56691-The-Tome-of-Athena-A-Megalist-of-great-guides

2) Creating community sourced and peer reviewed guides that we can't find.

The first one will simply be a pooling of resources, where I'll be assigning each guide the task of looking for good resources to gods (Maybe 1 ~ 3 a week)

The second will mostly be me writing the guides out, and the guides reading it and giving their input.

Guru's, on the other hand, are players with extremely high knowledge, along with the track record to back them up. There isn't much change in what a Guru is meant to be, however the bar for joining this club has been solidified.

Currently, I'm looking for Gurus in a few areas.

Ranked Conquest Guru
Ranked Joust Guru
Ranked 1v1 Guru
Jungle/Mid/Solo/Support/Hunter Guru

What's required to be a guru

Diamond Ranked MINIMUM in S4 (Can be Platinum ranked in S4 if you were Diamond or above in S3)
Willing to help answer questions
Willing to peer review guide work upon request

The guru's will serve as a voice of experience in the community. You'll be expected to know picks and bans, rotations, strategies, and other things. A guru isn't expected to do much, I simply want to give experienced players a more visible platform, as their advice and opinions will typically be more valuable than a random or a casual player.

If you're interested, please PM me and we'll set up a meeting to discuss further. If you have any questions, feel free to reply to this thread.

As much as I would like to be a guide, I know I'm useless even with my 3 years experience in the game.

I'd be down for providing info.

I however, lack certain things... Like the desire to solo queue ranked games (I'll get enough of that when I end up in Hell...)...

Meh... Perhaps I'll pop into Ranked at some point and see where I get before I want to tear my hair out due to frustration...
